The playback rulesWhat every player needs
  • Videos in one playlist are best at one resolution, frame rate and codec. Mixed ones are stitched into one video for the screen; sent as separate files, they can flash black between clips.
  • H.264 in an MP4 plays on every player.
  • Walls play at a constant 30 fps; seamless loops at 30 or 60.
  • Uploads up to 5 GB a file.

Where the answers come from

The rules are castv.ai's own: every video in a playlist must share resolution, frame rate and codec (so single-decoder TVs don't flash black between clips), wall tiles are composed at a constant 30 fps and seamless loops at 30 or 60, and uploads are limited to 5 GB. Your browser reads the codec from the file's container and measures the frame rate by playing a second of it.
